Monterey Peninsula College
Art Department
Monterey, CA
Come see and buy pieces made by current students and alumni of the MPC Metal Arts program. This is where I took my first jewelry class. Jewelry and Metal Arts programs are actually quite rare. It’s an amazing, historical skill. I'm a big fan of our community colleges, they are a fantastic resource. A portion of sales benefits the Monterey Peninsula College jewelry & metal arts department. Did I mention that there will also be ceramics, glass, photography and printmaking? Yeah. Don’t miss it. Follow the signs!
Admission is free, park in designated lots.

10 am to 4 pm
Creator Haven
Watsonville, CA
Get to Watsonville for this annual, public event, put on by Monterey Bay Metal Arts Guild. You must be a member to sell / have a table at this event, but the public is welcome to attend, buy, pick up a new interest or get deeper into metalsmithing and jewelry making. Admission is free.
This is not a jewelry sale. This event is aimed at makers, people interested in being makers in future, or in some cases, past makers.
Word to the wise: bring cash for the best deals. I am paying the sales tax for my customers who pay with cash, that’s basically 10% off.* Quantity discounts will be available on some of my items too. I do also accept credit cards.
Speaking for myself, I will have loose stones, beads, hand tools and studio equipment. Watch the blog in the weeks leading up to the sale / swap for images of stones and beads I will have with me.
Here’s a partial list of equipment I have available for sale or trade: a complete, old school casting set up, including oxyacetylene torch with tanks, hoses and a cart, plus burning (cutting) and rosebud tips; ** Satellite burn out kiln; vacuum table; Fisher 1896 80 lb anvil; ** Matt wax extruding gun set; freestanding Highland Park vintage lapidary unit (two wheels, saw and cabinet) includes new unused saw blade and blade lubricating fluid **
Got jewelry tools & supplies you want to sell or swap? Join MBMAG now. You have to be a member to get a space to sell / destash.
